ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Randall S. Dearth was named president and chief executive officer of LANXESS Corporation effective July 1, 2004. Prior to this he had been president and CEO of Bayer Chemicals Corporation since January 1, 2003. Mr. Dearth joined Bayer in 1988 as a development chemist in the automotive coatings development laboratories. In 1990, he was transferred to Bayers Automotive Technical Center in Detroit in a market development role. And from 1993 to 1997, Mr. Dearth was on assignment in Germany, where he was responsible for developing the European and Asian markets for monomeric aliphatic isocyanates, which are used in diverse coatings and elastomeric applications.
