Michelle Merlo Michelle is a professional writer and media relations and marketing specialist. Her nearly two decades of for-profit and non-profit experience is highlighted by the coordination of complex marketing programs for Centennial celebrations, economic development programs, product launches, and educational programs. Michelle is a former reporter for a major daily newspaper in Pittsburgh and the winner of several regional, national, and international writing, media relations, and marketing awards.
Jeffrey Peluso Jeffrey has an extensive background in computer systems, programming, and systems analysis as well as corporate procurement knowledge. He gained valuable experience early in his career while he worked for the Allegheny County, Department of Computer Services and Blue Cross of Western Pennsylvania while earning his degree in Computer Management. He joined FreeMarkets in 1995 where he played an integral role in developing FreeMarkets bidding software and many of the companys training and back office systems. Prior to founding AlphaSource Procurement Systems in 2000, Jeffrey held sales and marketing positions with Cisco Systems, Inc. and Champion Industries, a printing conglomerate.
Today, Jeffery is the Executive Vice President and COO at AlphSource. In addition to his operational and sales responsibilities, he is also responsible for the companys strategic pricing models, marketing efforts, and product branding.
Ruth Rauluk Ruth currently serves as Assistant Vice President for Business Services at Point Park University. She has worked in the procurement field for over fifteen years in both the governmental and educational marketplaces. She began her career in procurement as the Purchasing Manager for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. In her current capacity at Point Park University, Ruth oversees procurement, contract administration, the credit card program, food service, and the campus bookstore. Ruth is a C.P.M, C.E.P., and holds an M.B.A. from Point Park University.
Tinsy Lipchak Tinsy is currently the Director of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with the Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau. She oversees tourism and cultural heritage marketing and sales for the Pittsburgh region. Her department encompasses consumer, group, and international marketing, with particular interest in cultural and heritage tourism opportunities. Prior to joining the GPCVB, Tinsy was Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the Pittsburgh Symphony and Vice President of Marketing for the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Team. During her tenure as a television producer for Corinthian Broadcastings Washington DC news bureau, Tinsy was a member of the White House and U.S. Congretional Press Corps.
Jason Michael Putorti Jason is the driving force behind Novaurora and pioneered the ideas, technologies, and techniques that have improved the bottom lines of small businesses and the lives of their principals since launching the company in 2003. Novauroras mission is to help clients realize the latent potential of their businesses with finely crafted design and technology solutions that only a nimble agency can provide. His team is hand-selected and wholly dedicated to their craft in and outside of the office. Novaurora is Jasons second entrepreneurial challenge, as he is a founding partner in the nationally publicized startup College Prowler.
As the CEO of a small business, Jason wears nearly every hat at the company, from customer service to design to strategy. He has studied at Carnegie-Mellon University, Union College, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Parsons School of Design.
Tey Stitler Tey has worked in the communications field for more than 25 years as a marketer, writer, and manager in non-profit and for-profit businesses and as a board member for the Carnegie Museum of Art. In her spare time, Tey is a painter. Recently, she has been working on a screenplay about the Underground Railroad.
